Denver police officers are investigating a shooting at a Clayton house that sent a 6-year-old boy to the hospital.

Someone shot the boy at about 12:35 a.m. Friday, police spokesman Sonny Jackson said, adding that more than one shooter was probably involved. He could not say whether the crime was a drive-by or gang-related because the investigation is ongoing.

The young victim's prognosis is positive, police said.
