The Denver Broncos are hoping to flip the script on a horrendous 5-12 record last season, and they can get off to a good start with (hopefully) a season opening win over archrivals the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, Sept. 10 at 2:25 p.m.

Former New Orleans Saints Super Bowl winning coach Sean Payton calling the shots this year may be what 34-year-old Russell Wilson needs as he enters his second season wearing the orange and blue.

As exciting as this season could turn out to be, a 7% increase on Broncos season tickets and an Empower Field at Mile High that regularly sells out, means most folks won’t actually get to watch home games in person accompanied by the sounds of Official Broncos DJ Squizzy Taylor.

But that means there are plenty of chances to watch games in the company of other bright orange Bronco jerseys, here are some places to watch Broncos games depending on where you find yourself in the city.

If you’re on the north side of Denver…

Featuring every NFL opening day game across 15 screens and offering $5 wings, Monkey Barrel is a great spot to watch Broncos games. The spot will have Broncos tickets giveaways and an autographed Pat Surtain II jersey.

Nuggets fans found a lively atmosphere at Tap & Burger during this year’s championship. Tap has Denver locations in Highland, Sloan’s Lake and DTC.

If you’re near Coors Field…

If you’re up for the challenge of facing some ballpark chaos, two places are worth checking out nearby.

Viewhouse offers a football tailgate menu on gamedays, featuring 12 tacos for $48, nine sliders for $36 and $11 cocktails.

Tom’s Watch Bar in McGregor Square regularly hosts sports watch parties and makes for an excellent Broncos viewing experience. Just ask John Elway.

If you’re on Colfax…

The DNVR Sports Bar will host a Broncos Bourbon Blend Release Party from 2-4 p.m on Sunday, Sept. 10, and fans will have a chance to win Broncos tickets, merchandise, a Breck Distillery gift basket and DNVR merch. Keep this place on your list of bars to watch Broncos games throughout the season.

Gay sports bar Tight End will offer Sunday drink specials including beer buckets and Jell-O shots.  Broncos games will be shown in the main room throughout the season.

If you’re near Civic Center Park…

The locally owned Stoney’s has two locations in Denver and has over 70 HD TV’s and two 120-inch projection screens. This is definitely one of the spots to cheer on your Broncos.

Denver Sweet, a bear-inspired LGBTQ friendly bar is also in the area and is hosting a Broncos watch party for the first game of the season. It’ll offer gameday cocktails and plenty of seating on its two floors and a rooftop.

If you’re near Cherry Creek Mall…

Named after former Denver Nuggets trainer Robert “Chopper” Traviglini, Chopper’s Sports Grill is a staple sports bar destination with an 165″ HD video wall, 30 large HD TV’s and plenty of space to mingle on gameday.

If you’re south of Glendale/Virginia Village…

With Denver locations in Park Hill and Virginia Village, Esters boasts a nice selection of craft beer, pizza, brunch and sports pub vibes. And if you’re looking for a place to keep the kids entertained while you watch the game, Dave & Buster’s on Colorado Boulevard offers $5 bites and a $4 pint every Sunday, Monday and Thursday all season long.

If you’re south of DTC…

The Sportsbook Bar & Grill in Greenwood Village is a sports hub with more than 12 specialty burgers. On game days, the location will offer $3.25 Coors, Coors Light and Miller Light Drafts and $4 Fireball shots. $2 pickle shots are available when the Broncos score. The bar will be giving away a Broncos jersey during every Broncos game.

If you’re near the Broncos Stadium…

If you weren’t able to get tickets to a game, or if you dropped a buddy off who did and wanted to stick around the stadium until the game is over, The Original Brooklyn’s is nestled under the Colfax overpass and across the street from Empower. The Broncos legacy bar has a rich history in the area and opens at 10:30 a.m. on home game days. Reservations for Broncos games are taken the Monday following the most recent home game.
