Mother Nature has a curve ball planned today with a mostly sunny start of the day followed by isolated showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.

The day's high is expected to reach near 95 degrees. There's a 20 percent chance we'll see precipitation: Most likely rain. Mostly likely after 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Thunderstorms will be partnered with gusty winds, heavy rain and lightning, according to a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued Tuesday morning.

Multiple cold fronts pushing in from the north should bring cooler temps to the metro Wednesday through Friday.
