About 13 percent more new housing has been started in 2016 so far compared to 2015, according to Census data.

That’s a slight slowdown from last month’s numbers, when Denver had about 20 percent more new housing started.

Overall, the Denver metro is still in the top 15 metros when it comes to new housing. But the city has fallen from 12th to 15th place; Charlotte and Miami now have more new construction starts.
