Ren Wells identified as East Colfax shooting victim

Denver police are still looking for a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man on East Colfax early on the morning of Saturday, Oct. 1.

KDVR identifies the victim as Ren Wells, age 34. A second man was injured in the shooting, which happened around 2 a.m.

The victim’s uncle reportedly told KDVR that someone in a black Cadillac was firing “a lot of rounds.” Police are hoping that a witness will come forward.
