Broomfield and Centennial rents are more expensive than Denver, report says

Ok, I would have guessed the most expensive place to live in the Denver metro area is Denver. Zumper says that guess is wrong.
Both Broomfield and Centennial have more expensive rents, though the difference is basically a pair of new shoes. (Is $80 too much to spend for shoes? Good ones?)

(Zumper)
At least for Broomfield, there are some small measures of conciliation. Both one- and two-bedrooms rents there have fallen from last year, 0.7 and 1.9 percent respectively.
Centennial, on the other hand, has seen rents go up from last year. According to Zumper, the cost of a two-bedroom has risen a whopping 11.5 percent from last year.
But as with all such reports, the costs in these cities is calculated from listings on Zumper. As such, it’s subject to a level of self-selection, meaning that maybe not everyone who’s trying to find a renter uses Zumper to find someone.
