Roughly 300 homes have been evacuated this morning as warm temperatures and high winds fuel two grass fires in Boulder County. Wagonwheel Gap Road fire:
One fire, the Wagonwheel Gap Road fire, was between three and five acres and had forced the evacuation of 157 homes as of 9:12 a.m., according to the county's emergency website. The fire is along a road that heads into the foothills northwest of Boulder.
Update, 1 p.m.: The Boulder Office of Emergency Management is now saying that the Wagonwheel Gap Fire is not contained.
Update, 11:30 a.m.: The Daily Camera reports that the Wagonwheel Gap Fire is contained at 5 acres.
Boulder County sheriff's Division Chief Robert Sullenberger briefed reporters around 11 a.m. and said no structures have been damaged and no injuries have been reported.
Nelson Road fire:
County officials have reported "a large grass fire near the 5000 block of Nelson Road," that had forced the evacuation of 125 homes as of 9:12 a.m. They're calling this one the Rogers Fire and tracking it under #RogersFire on social media.
Update, 11 a.m.: Mandatory evacuations have been lifted for all but a few homes in the active fire zone.
Update, 11:45 a.m.: The Rogers Fire has also been contained.

Also, two horses were found near the Rogers Fire and taken to the Boulder County Fairgrounds.
Update: The horses owners have been located.
Update, 4:20 p.m.: In more animals-in-the-fire news, a piglet that was injured in the Rogers Fire is doing well and has been reunited with its mother. Please enjoy this nice moment.
