Boulder’s Video Station closing, joining Denver’s Video One among recent fallen video stores

Brutal year or so for Front Range video store enthusiasts.

A sign posted in the window of The Video Station, which had served Boulder for over 35 years and briefly survived a move to a less visible location, said that the store will be closing March 6. An employee at the store reached by phone confirmed the news.

Less than a year ago, Video One, which had operated in Denver for nearly 35 years, closed its doors after a crowdfunding campaign to save the store fell well short of its goal.
