Avanti Food & Beverage’s restaurant incubator has sent another healthy chick out into world.

Chow Morso, the Italian joint from the Barolo Group, is moving into prime real estate at 1500 Wynkoop St. — formerly the Squeaky Bean.

Slated to open this summer under the name Chow Morso Osteria, will be a casual, family-friendly Italian restaurant with a wider menu than its Avanti stall.

“Chow Morso Osteria offers guests a full-service experience between fine dining and fast casual,” Ryan Fletter, founder of the Barolo Group, said in a press release. “With the culinary prowess of the award-winning Barolo Grill team and the creative Italian street food at Chow Morso, we’re excited to introduce a concept that combines the best of both worlds. Chow Morso Osteria gives guests a chance to take everything they love about Chow Morso at Avanti and enjoy it in an expanded format and in a more intimate environment in the Union Station neighborhood.”

Darrel Truett will helm the kitchen, which will be turning out fresh-made pastas, piadinas, salads, appetizers and signature Italian desserts for lunch and dinner.

Chow Morso will leave Avanti at the end of October.
