RTD has delayed the A Line's return to normal service from Oct. 29 to Nov 10. The line that runs from downtown to the airport typically runs every 15 minutes, but that timetable extended to every 30 minutes this month for repairs.
Starting this past weekend, riders have been boarding the A Line at Track 2 at 38th and Blake, 40th and Colorado and Central Park Stations. The A Line is RTD's most popular route, with over a half-million passengers in July 2022.
Soil issues under the crossing at Dahlia Street and Smith Road prompted the repairs, which are currently taking place on Track 1. Trains will continue to blast their horns through the Dahlia Street crossing as a safety precaution.
RTD expects the construction to be a "long-term fix," according to its press release.
