It’s snowing! But it may not count as Denver’s first official first snow of the season
So far, less than 0.1 inches have been recorded at Denver International Airport.

Kevin J. Beaty/DenveriteWhether you saw slushy rain or actual snowflakes, it is an indisputable fact that it snowed/is snowing in Denver this morning.
But it may be such a light amount that it won’t technically count as the first snow of the season.
Measurements taken at Denver International Airport were less than 0.1 inches, the threshold the National Weather Service says is needed for snowfall to count as measurable.
NWS meteorologists say there’s an “outside chance” enough snow sticks in Denver to give the city its first snow of the season. So…we’ll see!

Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 20s and lower 30s. The NWS recommends taking precautions for your plants and outdoor plumbing.
And if you’re heading west on I-70, be safe. Conditions are slippery and wet and car accidents have already been reported.
