Denver broke a record low for Feb. 23 this morning with temperatures dropping to minus 11 degrees. The previous daily low record of minus 7  was set last year.

There's a chance for more snow after 3 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service, and it'll remain chilly but we will get up to about 24 and have some sun before cloud cover rolls in after noon. The low tonight will be 8 and there's a chance of a half inch of snow accumulating.

Friday should be much warmer, with a high of 41 and plenty of sun on the way.

And Saturday and Sunday will be much warmer, as Denver should see highs in the 50s on both days.

Denver's Rude Rec Center has been activated again as an overnight shelter.

The rec center will close tonight at 7 p.m. until 9 a.m. Friday. Those in need of shelter are being asked to go to "front door" referral centers from where they can be transported to available shelter space. Guidance on that can be found here.

The city's open rec center and libraries are also serving as warming centers through Thursday business hours.
