Police in Westminster report pedestrian killed by car

A 16-year-old boy is dead after being hit by a car in Westminster.

Police say the boy died Saturday after a car traveling northbound on Federal Boulevard hit him as he was standing on the northeast median at 112th Avenue.

The boy was killed instantly. The driver remained on the scene and was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police say the boy’s identity will be released later by the Adams County Coroner’s office.

This case remains under investigation and no charges have been filed.
