West Alameda Avenue's westbound lanes will be closed between Santa Fe Drive and Cherokee Street from Friday night, Jan. 27, through Monday morning for construction.
The closure starts at 9 p.m. on Friday and ends at 5 a.m. on Jan. 30. Crews will be replacing a pipe and paving the lanes.
This is all part of a $24 million project that began in 2014 and should wrap up this spring. Crews already have replaced the I-25 bridges over Santa Fe Drive.
Crews now are working on Santa Fe Drive, Alameda Avenue and southbound Kalamath Street, including a new bridge that will cary I-25 off-ramp traffic over the South Platte River. The project also will widen Alameda Avenue near its intersection with Santa Fe Drive and Kalamath Street.
