Between Juneteenth festivities and a range of maintenance projects, there are a lot of disruptions to Regional Transportation District lines this weekend. Here's what you need to know when planning RTD travel around the city.
RTD is suspending the L line from 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
RTD suggests taking the 43 bus as an alternate route. Route 12 and Route 28 buses will also have detours between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday.
Starting Friday, RTD is suspending the R line between 13th Ave. and Peoria stations for repairs.
There's a shuttle that will run every 30 minutes between 13th Ave. and Peoria until the RTD finishes maintenance. That exact timeline is unknown. Here's where riders can catch the shuttle:
- 13th Ave. station next to the platform
- Colfax Station at the bus stop below the I-225 bridge
- Fitzsimons Station, on Fitzsimons Parkway by the rail station
- Peoria Station at Gate E
And for Denverites headed to the airport Saturday and Sunday, the A line to the airport will be suspended everywhere except between Union Station and Peoria.
Here's where riders can catch the shuttle:
- Peoria Station at Gate E
- 40th Ave. and Airport/Gateway Park at Gate A
- 61st/Peña next to the platform
- Denver Airport at Gate 7
The altered service and shuttles are part of a string of maintenance projects that have been affecting RTD service since May.
