Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets begin their title defense on Tuesday, and it's going to be a star-studded season opener.

The NBA champs will host West Coast rivals Lebron James and the Los Angeles Lakers for the first game of the regular 2023-24 season that will also feature the first time the organization will raise a championship banner inside of Ball Arena.

Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m.

The Sports Emmy Award-winning "Inside the NBA" crew will also be at the game. Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Shaquille O'Neal and Kenny Smith will be live on-site for pre, halftime and post game coverage from the venue.

The festivities add excitement to what could be another monumental season as the Mile High squad could repeat as the NBA's best given the core starting five are all under contract through at least 2024-25.

Nuggets faithful will also be able to enjoy the day-long "NBA on TNT American Express Road Show" fan experience that will take place at Auraria Campus' Tivoli Quad beginning at 3 p.m.  Grammy Award-Winning duo The Chainsmokers and acclaimed singer and songwriter Dermot Kennedy are scheduled to perform.

American Express Card Members will get access to dedicated entrances and an opportunity to secure a spot in preferred viewing areas for the show. Both performances will begin postgame.
